Badges, feeds and API
Everything on our status pages is also available to embed or read programmatically. It's free; please link back to the status page you use.
Status badges
A live SVG badge for any service we've checked, updated every couple of minutes:
HTML (recommended). The link is marked nofollow, as search engines ask for links that come with an embedded widget:
<a href="https://upordown.online/status/github.com" rel="nofollow"><img src="https://upordown.online/badge/github.com.svg" alt="github.com status"></a>
Markdown, for READMEs and docs:

Outage feeds
Atom feeds work in any feed reader, and in Slack or Teams through their RSS integrations.
https://upordown.online/status/github.com/feed.xml # one service https://upordown.online/outages/feed.xml # every monitored service
JSON API
Read-only, no key needed, CORS enabled, 60 requests per minute per IP. It returns results we already have and never starts a new check.
curl https://upordown.online/api/v1/sites/github.com curl https://upordown.online/api/v1/outages
A site response looks like this:

"domain": "github.com",
"status": "up",
"checked_at": "2026-10-16T09:41:07+00:00",
"response_ms": 131,
"verdict": { "state": "up", "reason": null },
"uptime": { "day": { "percent": 100, "checks": 288 }, ... },

"official": { "indicator": "none", "description": "All Systems Operational" },
"reports_last_hour": 0,

}Fair use
Cache responses for at least a minute; results don't change faster than that. Heavy users may be rate limited.
